SiDiary > SiDiary English
WM5
Martin:
I have just bought a new Pocket PC running WM5.
I see an active topic on WM5 in German, but my German is not good enough to understand most of it.
I have 2 questions.
Is WM5 in SiDiary working, or is it still in development?
If it is in development, what does and does not work?
Thanks
Martin
LordBritish:
Hi Martin,
you can get a Alpha-Version it´s designed for WM5, it´s included in the Updatefile http://www.sidiary.de/download/SiDiary_Update_V5.zip
The most of functions are implemented now, but the functions for insulinpump are missing.
Some users have told that the Version for the old PPC is still working on WM5, you have to install SiDiary and the eVB-Runtime manually.

Martin:
Thank you Markus
I downloaded and installed the WM5 alpha version.
It generally works well. I don't use the pumper functions.
I found two problems.
Some of the menu items are not translated to English.
I use a phone edition pocket pc, and if sidiary is active when the phone rings, the system crashes and i need to do a soft reset.
So I terminate sidiary each time I finish using it.
I hope this helps in your development of WM5 edition
Regards
Martin
LordBritish:
Hi Martin,
Thank you for your feedback :)
I will tell it to Alf, he´s the Developer from SiDiary.
Markus
Alf:
Hi Martin,
thanks for telling us about the problems with the incoming calls on your PPCPE and the missing translations for the menu items. The second issue will be fixed with the next version; for the first issue, I need to check some web ressources if I can find some information about problems of the compact framework in usage with a PPCPE - currently I have no idea what's going on there.
:kratz:
We are using an almost identical code base for the Smartphone version and on my QTek8310 (running with WM5 too) the incoming calls are causing no problems). So hopefully we can find out how to deal with this problem... :-\
Cheers, Alf.
